Italo's Climbing Page
Adventure Club
I do a lot of my climbing in Adventure Club at our school.
Right now, I'm one of our leaders who teach new members how to climb. At the start of this school year, we got a few new members, so we started the teaching process again.
In this picture you can see Hunter (he's been a member for a couple years) on one of our easy walls.

At this point, we had just started to teach belaying with the TBSS method, which is more advanced than the quick belay method, but still somewhat basic. It sounds confusing that way, but trust me, it's not.
If you ever have a question about Beginner - Intermediate level climbing, I'm your guy.
In this next one, I'm checking the new members' technique. I like to keep our safety levels top notch.

As the year progresses, we'll get into more efficient (and cool) techniques that allow us the climb faster. We may even make it to lead climbing, then I will have some really cool pictures to put on here.
Outdoor
Pictures to come
My family loves to climb outside. That's why the sport was invented after all. If you're ever in the Springs, you should try Bear Canyon, also known as Dakota Hogback: Mountain Project Link
We've also been to Red Rocks Open Space, which is very slabby and all sandstone, but is fun.
We tried Garden of the Gods, but we haven't found a good spot yet, so if you go make sure to research beforehand and tell me which routes are good. (my email is [email protected])
Also tell me if you know other good climbing in the springs.
Competition
I did a school competition team last year. Might do it again this year. It is very different from what I like to do. I climb for fun and to grow my own strengths (I love to work with the rope and feel like I'm super smart or a crew hand on a boat) but for competition it's only a competition to see who is the best.
Meh
Not my style.
